Recent games like WiiU Wind Waker and GTA V have convinced me that the greatest innovation of this generation is the ability to take selfies in the gaming world. See guys, Nintendo was right all along: it’s not about graphical prowess, true power lies in the sepia-toned duckface. Nintendo knew, man. Nintendo knew. The twitter account @Linkstagram takes Link’s shameless mugging for the camera and adds humorous captions along with the appropriate hashtags, check it out below:

Last night me and my five closest friends had a ‘friend christmas’ and we took MDMA and we all opened presents and we put candles everywhere and just chatted and smoked all night, its was so lovely.
Pop! Art Bodypaints by Emma Hack
The bold colored styles of Roy Lichtenstein meets skin in Emma’s new series explores the themes of motivational messages, break-up advice, and social media as told through the contours of the female form. No more perfect canvas was ever created, I’ve always said. Part of an exhibit at Seaview Gallery in Queenscliff, Victoria, Australia, showing January 12th through January 28th. All images are available for purchase in glossy perspex over at emmahackartist.

World of the Ring by Jian Guo
Middle-Earth seems like it’s a pretty happening place: plenty of exotic locales to explore, elves handing out gifts, trees to ride when your footses ache, and treasure available only to those courageous enough to take it. If it ever existed in a Tolkien novel or note, then Jian has probably drawn it: his jaw-droppingly resplendent masterpieces tell just as enthralling a story as the novels they emulate… though in considerably fewer words. The lead image: “A Long Adventure with a Hobbit” is available in print form at Jian’s DeviantArt.
